Centralized installation of the 3CX Chrome extension via GSuite

In this article, we will show you how to centrally install this extension for all company employees without going to individual PCs. You can do this directly from the GSuite Admin Console.
Log in to GSuite with an administrator account and open
After selecting the range (1) (organization or OU), click the yellow plus and select "Add the Chrome app by extension or ID" (2).
Specify the 3CX extension ID for Chrome: baipgmmeifmofkcilhccccoipmjccehn
After adding the application, set the "Installation policy" to "Force install" so that the dialer is installed for all users (installation may take some time).
Of course, you can check users' PCs to make sure the policy has been applied. To force a policy update, open the chrome://policy URL and click Reload policies.
Transferring call records from Google Drive
In 3CX V16 Update 4 Alpha, Google Drive is no longer supported as a storage for call recordings and backup files. This is due to recent changes to the Google API regarding
- In the 3CX interface, go to the "Call Recordings" section and click the "Transfer archive" button.
- Make sure you have enough free space on your local drive. If you receive an e-mail notification about insufficient space after starting the transfer, free the disk and repeat the process.
- The transfer is completed after receiving the e-mail "Transfer completed". The duration of the migration depends on the size and number of archived records.
Please note that the Move Archive tool will be removed in future updates, and the Move to Archive Periodicity option will be automatically disabled for Google Drive.
