But remembering something like that in the Zelda universe is already more difficult. Therefore, the announcement of Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda was a complete surprise for fans of the series.
The project, as you might guess, combines the gameplay of the rhythm roguelike Crypt of the NecroDancer, which is loved by the audience, with characters from Zelda. Even the visual style is reminiscent of the classic portable parts of The Legend of Zelda, not to mention the soundtrack that fans of Link's adventures will recognize from the first notes.
The developers promise 25 songs, randomly generated worlds and many references to the famous series. There will be three characters available: Zelda, Link and Cadance - the main character of the original Crypt of the NecroDancer. The game is being developed by Brace Yourself Games with the support of Nintendo.
So far, it hasn't been talked about directly, but it's unlikely that Cadence of Hyrule will ever be released outside of Nintendo consoles. The game will be released on Switch in the spring, the exact date will be announced later. The usual Crypt of the NecroDancer has appeared on PC, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and iOS in recent years.
