A new version of the graphic editor has been released GIMP.
Changes:
- Tools in the toolbar are now grouped (can be disabled, can be configured in your own way).
- Sliders default to a new compact style with better interaction.
- Improved transformation preview on canvas: layer connectivity and their position within the project are taken into account (the layer being changed no longer jumps up, obscuring the upper layers), cropping is shown immediately, and not after applying the tool.
- Removed the annoying message below the toolbar that panels can be attached there. Instead, dragging panels highlights areas where they can be docked.
- A new 3D transform tool has been added to rotate and pan objects in 2.5D.
- The movement of the brush path on the canvas is noticeably smoother.
- Loading ABR brushes (Photoshop) has become an order of magnitude faster.
- Accelerated loading of PSD files, simple support for CMYK PSD appeared (conversion to sRGB is performed, it was not opened at all before, on this base you can finish the plugin further).
- If the project does not have floating selections, instead of the attach button in the layers panel, the merge layers button is shown. When pressed, several modifiers can be used.
- When starting the program and generating a crash log, by default, a check is made for a newer version of the program and a newer version of the installer (can be disabled in the settings, can be built without support for this function at all).
- Bugs fixed, interface translations updated.
