According to the publisher, the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection will support co-op matches between Steam and Microsoft Store users, but console players will remain in their ecosystem. It is not reported whether such a possibility will appear in the future, although it will definitely be considered. In addition, the developers have not yet made a decision on whether the project will support the Xbox Play Anywhere program, but are exploring options for existing owners of a digital copy for Xbox One.

As a reminder, Xbox Play Anywhere is Microsoft's cross-platform purchase program, which allows you to purchase a copy of a game on Xbox One or the Microsoft Store once and play it on both platforms. In addition, the feature provides shared cloud saves and achievements.

Microsoft also revealed that testing of the PC version of Halo: Reach, which will take place on Steam, is already ready for launch - the publisher is currently waiting for a large number of applicants. If you're interested in testing Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, you can sign up for the Halo Waypoint Insider Program.
