On February 12, after six months of development, version 26.00 of the library and console utility was released 7-Zip, designed for working with archives in 7z, XZ, BZIP2, GZIP, TAR, ZIP, WIM formats and many others.
The project is written in C and C++ and is distributed under the GNU LGPL license.
Change log:
- improved code for ZIP, CPIO, RAR, UFD, QCOW, and Compound;
- fixed an extraction bug from TAR archives containing sparse files;
- the 7-Zip File Manager has improved file list sorting using the filename as the second sorting key;
- the 7-Zip File Manager has improved performance testing for systems with more than 64 CPU threads;
- some bugs have been fixed.
