TON Labs TON OS — an open infrastructure for launching applications based on a blockchain platform (Telegram Open Network). So far, nothing is known about TON OS , except that it should soon be available in the Google Play Market and AppStore. Most likely, it will be a virtual Java machine or a software shell implementing the launch of applications for a whole range of TON services within itself.
TON can as a distributed superserver designed to host and provide various services based on blockchain and smart contracts. Smart contracts are created in the Fift language, developed for TON, and are executed in the blockchain through a special virtual machine, TVM. A P2P network is formed from clients, used for accessing the TON Blockchain and operating arbitrary distributed services, including those unrelated to blockchain. Service interface descriptions and entry points are published on the blockchain, while service-providing nodes are identified through a distributed hash table. Among the components of TON are TON Blockchain, P2P network, distributed file storage, proxy anonymizer, distributed hash table, a platform for creating arbitrary services (similar to websites and web applications), a domain name system, a micropayment platform, and TON External Secure ID (Telegram Passport).
