The latest release of Apache NetBeans has been introduced – an integrated development environment that supports programming languages such as Java, PHP, JavaScript, C, C++, and more.
The IDE is written in Java and is distributed under the Apache License 2.0.
In this release:
- bug fixes and improvements in the support for Gradle, Maven, and Ant build systems;
- bug fixes and improvements in Java support:
- Optimization of inspection and code transformation actions has been carried out;
- Optimization of Find Usages has been conducted;
- Support for Applet API has been removed;
- Bug fixes and improvements in PHP support:
- Support for collapsing heredoc and nowdoc blocks has been added;
- Fixed incorrect trait definitions when using anonymous classes;
- Improvements in JavaScript support:
- Added check for duplicate private class elements;
- Added check for invalid constructors;
- Bug fixes and improvements in CSS support:
- Support for image-set has been added;
- Parsing errors for pseudo-elements :host and :slotted have been fixed;
- Bug fixes and improvements in Git support:
- Improved behavior of the dialog box for switching to a specific revision with an ambiguous commit ID;
- Corrected the order of displaying commits on the history tab for a specific file;
- Support for .env files has been added;
- Syntax highlighting for jflex files has been added;
