Ardour A powerful program for professional audio recording and processing available for Linux, Windows, and macOS. It allows for recording, mixing, editing, and mastering audio. It also supports MIDI tracks, plugins, and some video actions, such as extracting audio tracks from video files, video timeline, and monitoring for synchronizing video and audio.
Changes and Innovations:
- The ability to name new MIDI tracks from SMF is now added simply using the SMF track name;
- Support for building on the latest versions of macOS has been added;
- User color scheme files must now include versions;
- It is now prohibited to change the range of cycles during audio recording;
- Waveform signal pixels no longer shift when splitting and trimming areas;
- Using a dedicated stream to start exporting at specified intervals.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an error for LV2 plugins whose graphical interface depends on the 'modified' signal (for example, ZynSubAddFX);
- When using a smoothly changing tempo, MIDI clocks now send a tempo update at the beginning of each measure;
- In re-recording mode without layers, the new area no longer automatically groups with the area to its right;
- When pressing buttons (rather than faders and encoders) on the MIDI keyboard with 'Show automation lane on touch' mode enabled, the program no longer tries to show the fader of an arbitrary track;
- Fixed the splitting of instruments with invalid path symbols in their name;
- Fixed an incomplete issue during cyclical searching/defining location and changing the content of a region.
- Fixed the output of the playback head beyond the cycle range;
- If the playback indicator is exactly at the cue marker position, starting the recording with preroll; Ardour will now play clips from the corresponding scene.
- Correction and simplification of Playlist::fade_range for multiple ranges;
- Correction of interaction with the snapshot list;
- Correction of rounding for the display of sampling frequency for 22.05 kHz.
- Correction of playback for sessions with low sampling frequency.
- VST3: Correction of possible deadlock when using the PSL extension for sends.
- VST3: Workaround for plugins that do not consider ContextInfo::kSendCount.
- Correction of XML syntax for the MIDI mapping of AKAI MPK mini mk3.
