RAR Archiver 5.80

The proprietary archiver RAR version 5.80 has been released. Change log for the command line version:

1. You can maintain the last access time of archived files using the -tsp switch in the command line. It can be combined with other switches -ts, for example: rar a -tsc -tsp archive files
   Multiple modifiers can be combined in the same -ts switch.
   For example, you can use -tscap instead of -tsc -tsa -tsp.
2. The -agf<default_format> switch in the command line sets the standard format string for the -ag switch. It is practically effective only when placed in the rar.ini configuration file or in the RAR environment variable.
   For example, if the RAR environment variable is set to -agfYYYY-MMM-DD, then when using the -ag switch without a parameter, the format string YYYY-MMM-DD will be assumed.
3. The -ed and -e+d switches can be used in archive handling commands for any combination of RAR and operating systems that created the archive.
   Previous versions of RAR for Windows could not apply them to RAR archives created in UNIX, and RAR for UNIX could not apply them to RAR archives created in Windows.
4. Similarly, RAR5 volumes use the same field width for the volume number as their corresponding RAR volumes. If previously using the RAR4 format resulted in volumes arc.part01.rar and arc.part1.rev, now both types of volumes will have the name part01 for the number section.
5. The 'Find files' command and its equivalent in the command line is 'i':
   • if the 'Use all tables' option is selected or the 'i' command has the 't' modifier specified, in addition to the already supported ANSI, OEM and UTF-16 encodings, the archiver will also search for the specified string in UTF-8 encoded files;
   • the speed has been increased, especially when searching without case sensitivity;
   • the output for hexadecimal search now includes both text and hexadecimal representations of the found items.
6. Error corrections:
   • the previous version of RAR could not unpack folder entries from archives created with RAR 1.50.

The UnRAR extractor has also been updated to version open-source extractor to version 5.8.5.
