The latest major version of the popular free audio editor has been released. Here's a quick fix to it. A number of changes were made to the interface and bugs were fixed.
New from versions 2.3.*:
- In audio tracks, you can display multi-view — both the waveform and the spectrogram.
- The interface for working with labels has changed slightly. Clip boundaries.
- are now drawn in the spectrogram as well. The view of the vertical axis of the waveform and spectrogram (linear/logarithmic, scale, etc.) is now set from its context menu (right-click).
- Keyboard scrubbing is now available.
- You can simultaneously mute/unmute all selected tracks.
- The playback marker attachment has been modified. There were many complaints when users accidentally clicked it and then couldn't understand why the marker wasn't moving along the waveform while the waveform moved with the marker stationary. Now clicking the marker opens a special menu.
- It has become possible to import and export settings for all effects that have a 'Manage' button.
- The exporter for Ogg Opus has been replaced (it is reported that the old one didn't work).
- New effect plugins:
- 'Loudness Normalization' — similar to 'Normalize' and 'Amplify', but easier to use.
- 'Measure RMS' — calculating root mean square values for each channel and overall.
- 'Noise Gate' — suppressing noise below a threshold.
- 'Spectral Delete' — removing sections of the spectrogram, rectangles of times and frequencies.
- The online documentation has added
