Leah Rowe, the founder of the Libreboot distribution and a well-known advocate for minority rights, despite past conflicts with the FSF and Stallman, publicly defended Richard Stallman against recent attacks. Leah Rowe believes that the witch hunt is orchestrated by ideologically opposed people to free software and is aimed not only at Stallman himself but also at the entire free software movement and the FSF in particular.
In Leah's opinion, true social justice means treating a person with dignity, rather than trying to erase them solely because of their beliefs. The message also addressed the criticisms of Stallman regarding sexism and transphobia through personal examples and suggested that all recent attacks are nothing more than an attempt to infiltrate and bring the FSF under the control of large corporations, as has already happened with OSI and the Linux Foundation.
Meanwhile, the number of people who signed the open letter in support of Stallman has reached 4,660 signatures, while the letter against Stallman has been signed by 2,984 people.
