In the new version, the Clang compiler used to build packages has been updated to LLVM 9.0 branch. In addition to the standard Linux kernel compiled in GCC (package 'kernel-release'), a kernel variant built in Clang ('kernel-release-clang') has been added. Clang is already used as the default compiler in OpenMandriva, but until now, the kernel had to be built in GCC. Now, all components can be built solely with Clang. New versions of the Linux kernel 5.4, Glibc 2.30, Qt 5.14.0, KDE Frameworks 5.65, KDE Plasma 5.17.4, and KDE Applications 19.12 have been employed. The number of available desktop environments for installation has been expanded. Zypper has been offered as an alternative package manager.
