Just yesterday, it was discovered that the early release of Edge (Canary 76.0.151.0) for Mac computers became available for download from the official Microsoft website, even though the company did not announce this, and on the Microsoft Edge Insider page, the distribution is currently available only for Windows 10. However, anyone wishing to install the application should keep in mind that this is not the final version, meaning it may have bugs and non-functional features.

It should be noted that this is not the first Microsoft browser that has appeared on the "Apple" computer platform. Back in 1996, the corporation released Internet Explorer for Mac. For a time, the browser for Macintosh was developed based on IE for Windows; however, starting from version 5, released in 2000, it was built on the newly created Tasman engine. Three years later, after the release of Internet Explorer for Mac 5.2.3, Microsoft discontinued updates for the product, focusing on the development of IE for its own operating system.
