The Common Desktop Environment 2.5.2 has been released. This is primarily a maintenance release.
Common Desktop Environment is a desktop environment based on Motif, mainly used in proprietary operating systems UNIX and OpenVMS. CDE was developed by The Open Group in collaboration with Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Novell, and Sun Microsystems, and is based on HP's VUE. On August 6, 2012, the source code for CDE was released on SourceForge.net under the GNU LGPL license, and over the following years, the community has released several new versions.
