Another update is available for the current stable release of the Debian 9 "Stretch" operating system, numbered 9.9.
The update includes changes to more than 100 different programs, including the Linux kernel updated to version 4.9.168, updated packages for postfix, postgresql, and mariadb. Errors have been fixed in rsync, ruby, systemd, unzip, gpac, jquery, and many other packages. The non-free firmware for the Atheros Bluetooth module and the nvidia-graphics-drivers has been updated.
Five packages have been removed from the repository, all of which are extensions for the Firefox browser and the Thunderbird mail client, incompatible with the latest ESR versions of these programs.
