Microsoft has released a beta version of its Edge browser for Linux, which can be downloaded from the developer channel.
Microsoft Edge is a browser from Microsoft, first launched in 2015 alongside the initial version of Windows 10. It replaced Internet Explorer. Initially, it used its own EdgeHTML engine, but later Microsoft opted for the popular open-source Chromium engine to increase the browser's market share and ensure compatibility with its extensive library of extensions.
There are limitations in the current version of Microsoft Edge for Linux: some features may not work, and users currently cannot sign in to Microsoft Edge using a Microsoft account or Active Directory.
Microsoft Edge builds for Linux are now available for Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and openSUSE.
