The release of project Mox 0.0.15 has been published, developing a comprehensive solution for the operation of mail servers, including all components necessary for sending and receiving emails. It offers its own implementations of SMTP and IMAP4 servers, a spam filtering system, as well as web interfaces for administrators and users. The project code is written in the Go language and is distributed under the MIT license.
The goal of the project is to create an all-in-one solution that allows easy setup of a working mail server without tedious configuration and without the need to integrate separate services and applications. It is anticipated that due to complications in deploying and maintaining email services, servers consumers prefer centralized email providers, thus undermining the very notion of email as a decentralized service formed from numerous individual mail servers.
Mox allows you to set up a secure mail server for your domains in 10 minutes, supporting a modern protocol stack and requiring no additional dependencies. Software updates on the mail server are reduced to downloading the new version of mox and restarting. Receiving and updating for TLS certificates is done automatically. A web interface can be used for configuration and maintenance tasks, while an extended configuration file is provided for detailed setup.
To eliminate security issues arising from low-level memory handling, the Go language is used in development. To maintain high code quality, manual and automated testing for compatibility with popular mail servers and clients, unit and fuzz testing, as well as comprehensive code documentation are applied.

- Webmail has added a button to download messages in eml or mbox/maildir format in zip/tgz/tar archives, as well as buttons to mark the mailbox as read and to create additional mailboxes.
