The release of AlmaLinux 8.10 has been published, synchronized with the release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10 and containing all the proposed changes in this release. The installation images are prepared for x86_64, ARM64, ppc64le, and s390x architectures in the form of a bootable image (1 GB), a minimal image (2.1 GB), and a full image (13 GB). Live builds with GNOME, KDE, Xfce, and MATE, as well as images for Raspberry Pi, WSL, containers, and cloud platforms are planned to be created later.
The distribution is binary-compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and can be used as a replacement for RHEL 8.10. Unlike previous releases, the changes are not limited to rebranding and the removal of RHEL-specific packages β in the new version, the expansion of hardware support in drivers not updated in RHEL continues. In particular, AlmaLinux 8.10 includes new PCI device identifiers in the following drivers:

Additionally, a Synergy repository is available for use, featuring packages that differ from Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Currently, the Synergy repository includes additional Python libraries, grpc packages, rdfind, xapps, and the Warpinator utility designed for encrypted file sharing between two computers.
In conclusion, the release of EuroLinux 8.10 can be noted, prepared by recompiling the source code of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10 distribution and fully binary-compatible with it. Changes are limited to rebranding and the removal of RHEL-specific packages; otherwise, the distribution is completely analogous to RHEL 8.10. Installation images have been prepared for download, sized at 15 GB (appstream) and 1 GB.
