The community mailing lists have just announced the public availability of the first builds for affordable single-board computers Raspberry Pi 4 based on the open-source software repository Sisyphus. The prefix regularin the build name means that it will now be produced regularly based on the current state of the repository. In fact, prototypes have been showcased recently at the OSSDEVCON-2019 conference in Kaluga. The author had the opportunity to personally verify that the desktop performance on the RPi4 is already rated as "sufficiently comfortable." Moreover, it was pleasantly surprising that the single-board computer did not overheat without active cooling or even heat sinks — the chips felt warm but not hot. Clearly, quality power supply and cooling will still be needed for more serious tasks; however, the results are still impressive. Builds based on Sisyphus, as well as the stable
p9 branch (the architecture of higher models of RPi is denoted as aarch64) are already running on Raspberry Pi 3 B and B+ models, respectively, with their hardware capabilities.
