On November 27, the release of version 0.8.0 of the console documentation generator from C++ source code took place. doxide, written in C and C++, and distributed under the Apache 2.0 license.
The C++ source code is documented using /** comments */, which contain @-commands, similar to the classic tool. DoxygenMany Doxygen commands are already supported. YAML format is used for configuration.
Doxide generates documentation in Markdown format, and uses incremental project parsers for source code parsing. tree-sitter.
Other dependencies include CMake, the C++20 compiler, and git submodules. CLI11, glob and libyaml. Depending on the operating system distribution used, the ICU library may be required.

- The key new feature is code coverage reports that combine data from compiled binary files provided by gcov, along with source code analysis using tree-sitter for more accurate C++ code coverage reports.
