The Lutris project development team announced on their Patreon page that they received a donation of $25,000 from Epic MegaGrants. Through Epic MegaGrants, Epic Games allocates funds to various gaming projects and 3D graphics initiatives to support the development of associated ecosystems.
Lutris is an open-source gaming platform for Linux that installs and runs games without the need for tedious manual setups. Lutris supports the installation of games from platforms such as Steam, GOG, Origin, Uplay, and even Epic Games Store.
Notably, the developers of Epic Games Store have yet to announce any plans for launching their own native client for Linux.
