The release of Fedora Linux 39 occurred quietly and without fanfare.
New features include Gnome 45. Other updates are: gcc 13.2, binutils 2.40, glibc 2.38, gdb 13.2, rpm 4.19. Development tools include: Python 3.12, Rust 1.73.
On the downside, QGnomePlatform and Adwaita-qt are not included by default due to stagnation in these projects. Qt applications in Gnome now appear as Qt applications without adapting to Gtk/Adwaita.
The transition to dnf5 and the web installer has been postponed until the release of Fedora 40.
