Version 13.0.1 of the multi-format audio converter has been released Flacon.
Flacon extracts individual tracks from a single large audio file containing the entire music album and saves them as separate audio files.
It uses information from the corresponding CUE file. Additionally, Flacon allows convenient editing or setting tags for all tracks at once or for each tag individually.
Features:
- Supported input formats: WAV, FLAC, APE, WavPack, True Audio (TTA).
- Supported output formats: FLAC, WAV, WavPack, AAC, OGG, or MP3.
- Replay Gain analysis: ALBUM-gain and TRACK-gain modes.
- Multithreaded conversion.
- Automatic encoding detection in CUE files.
- Creation of a track-based CUE file in the output directory.
The project is written in C++ using the Qt framework (supports versions 5 and 6) and is distributed under the LGPL 2.1 license.
Changes:
- added the tag 'Catalog number';
- significantly improved console mode performance;
- the program is available in AppImage format for ARM;
- fixed incorrect tab navigation order in tag fields;
- resolved an issue where the ReplayGain setting was not saved after restarting the program;
- other minor fixes and improvements have been made.
Version 0.4.2 has also been released alacenc – console audio converter to ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio Codec) format with a build fix for new versions of CMake.
The project is written in C++ and is distributed under the MIT license.
