Formlabs, a company specializing in the development of technologies for 3D printing, has established Formlabs Dental, which will produce 3D printers and components for the dental market.
Formlabs has also announced the new Form 3B 3D printer, designed to streamline the process of manufacturing dental implants. The earlier Form 2 printer released by the company enabled the production of 13 million components for dental professionals.
The standout feature of the Form 3B printer is its capability to produce over 10 types of dental components, allowing users to switch from one material type to another. Specifically, it can be used to create crowns and bridge models, aligner and retainer models, dental prosthetics in various tooth shades, and more.
