The release of version (1.02) of the Book-Like CMS "Froggy-BLC" has occurred, operating on files without a database.
In this release:
- A custom implementation of the tag "p" — "rich-paragraph role=paragraph" (HTML5) is used. This is necessary for supporting block elements inside paragraphs, especially when CKEditor-4 automatically places the "p" tags everywhere.
- Four types of vulnerabilities have been eliminated.
- Work is being done on code de-obfuscation, and significant progress has already been made.
- A new mode called "GNU Concater" has been added to the "Database Simulation" algorithms. This allows for the direct invocation of GNU cat + GNU tail via Exec() for instant concatenation of the Pseudo-Database when editing a single field. …
- …On the other hand — a function has been created to check the availability of Exec() + /usr/bin/tail + /usr/bin/cat, and if absent, the Fallback mode "PHP-Concater" is activated (…But the author still recommends using hosting services with GNU/Linux and asking the host to enable Exec())
- A DOM-Compactor mode has been added to the Pseudo-Database of Comments — adjacent "ul" elements are collapsed into a single large list to simplify the DOM for browsers.
- The file download counter has become more interactive, comments now include timestamps, and dozens of other minor improvements have been made.
NB: The author does not know how to write quality code, so the system is not very well-written; please don't judge too harshly.
Initially, the system was planned to be called Temple-CMS, due to a similar backstory: the author's manic enthusiasm and inspiration driven by schizophrenia; however, this idea was later abandoned.
The system is intended for publishing books or personal websites with a deep tree-like representation of the site's pages and comments.
The author was inspired by early versions of CMSimple (aiming to create a system with strong semantics and taxonomy), and wanted to make a good (though not perfect) self-contained “thing in itself,” similar to FreeDOS. Additionally, the author is a fan of John Carmack and decided to write his system without frameworks, using libraries, each serving one strictly defined function.
The system is written in PHP and JavaScript and is distributed under the MIT license. The author emphasizes that he is against its use for promoting violence, inciting any hatred, or humiliating dignity.
