GameMode 1.8.2

A new version of the Linux system performance optimizer has been released.

GameMode includes a daemon and a set of libraries that allow games to request various optimizations that apply both to the OS itself and to the gameplay within it.

Primarily, GameMode is designed for improved core switching on Intel and AMD CPUs, both in power-saving mode and in modes dependent on the current load on the core. However, it can now also manage the configuration of various optimization functions.

Key changes in this release:

  • Fixed the slowdown of idle time that was closing the bus connection too early.
  • Corrected unreadable process maps in gamemodelist.
  • Fixed an error when D-Bus is unavailable.
  • Fixed CPU core slowdown.
  • Various bug fixes and documentation improvements have been made.
