The release has occurred Debugger GDB version 8.3.
New features include:
- Support for RISC-V architecture as the native and target architecture for Linux and FreeBSD systems. Support for CSKY and OpenRISC architectures as targets.
- Ability to access the PPR, DSCR, TAR, EBB/PMU, and HTM registers in Linux OS on PowerPC architecture-based systems.
- Output of the list of all files opened by a specific process.
- Support for IPv6 in GDB and GDBserver.
- Experimental support for compiling and injecting C++ code into a controlled process (requires GCC version 7.1 or higher).
- Automatic caching of the DWARF index.
- New commands: 'frame apply COMMAND', 'taas COMMAND', 'faas COMMAND', 'tfaas COMMAND', 'set/show debug compile-cplus-types', 'set/show debug skip', etc.
- Improvements in commands: 'frame', 'select-frame', 'info frame'; 'info functions', 'info types', 'info variables'; 'info thread'; 'info proc', etc.
