The Gotcha 1.0 release has been published — a self-hosted monitoring platform that combines error tracking, distributed traces, metrics, profiles, logs, availability monitoring with public status pages, and host monitoring. The project is written in Go and is licensed under Apache-2.0. Data reception is compatible with the Sentry SDK protocol and OTLP, and the data is stored in PostgreSQL and ClickHouse. Minimum requirements are 2 vCPU and 2 GB RAM. The interface, email templates, and documentation are available in both Russian and English.
The version number 1.0 indicates the preservation of backward compatibility: environment variable names, reception addresses and request body formats, migration direction, backup formats, outgoing webhook bodies, and addresses of already published status pages from this release can only change in a backward-compatible manner; everything else is in branch 2.0. Three deprecated Web API addresses (/logs, /profiles/pprof, and /api/{project}/deployments/) remain operational and will only be removed in the next significant release.
Since the earlier releases 0.5-0.17, the following have been added:
- Incident groups that collapse a cascading failure into a single card;
- Notification suppression by the dependency graph;
- Ready collector configurations for PostgreSQL, nginx, Redis, Docker, and MariaDB;
- Background exports of errors and events in CSV, JSON, and NDJSON with personal data masking;
- Encryption master key rotation without downtime;
- Custom metrics for reception and liveliness of background processors;
- Separate namespace /api/v1/* for reception points and types of DSN keys where the exposed browser key cannot register a host.
- In the configuration that the process cannot execute, startup now stops with a clear error instead of substituting a default value.
