The GPD team has announced that they will soon launch a crowdfunding Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for the release of the ultra-compact Pocket 2 Max laptop.
The device will feature an 8.9-inch display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels. Touch control support is mentioned.
Customers will be able to choose from several configurations of the new model. The base configuration includes an Intel Celeron 3965Y processor from the Kaby Lake generation with two computing cores and a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. The chip includes an Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU. The RAM is 8 GB, and the SSD capacity is 256 GB. This version will cost $529.
For $729, you can purchase a version with an Intel Core m3-8100Y processor (Amber Lake Y generation) with two cores clocked at 1.1–3.4 GHz. The chip contains an Intel UHD Graphics 615 GPU. This configuration includes 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD.
Other features of the mini-laptop include a fingerprint scanner, a 2-megapixel camera, USB Type-C and Type-A ports, a micro HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
