A new version has been released Guitarix — a free emulator for guitar effects and amplifiers.
The main innovation is a revamped tube emulation algorithm, which has influenced both the overall sound and the response dynamics. This change is very likely to alter the sound of existing presets, but the developers are confident that the improvements are worth it. The new algorithm was written by Damien Zammit, the author of ZamAudio plugins.
Additionally, the following features have been added:
- DC blocker at the input;
- volume controls in the Power Amp;
- Output Limiter filter.
