The Infiniti brand unveiled the Qs Inspiration concept car with a fully electric powertrain at the Shanghai International Auto Show.
Qs Inspiration is a sporty sedan with a dynamic appearance. The front lacks a traditional grille, as it is simply unnecessary for an electric vehicle.
Unfortunately, the technical specifications of the powertrain are not disclosed. However, it is known that the car features an e-AWD system, meaning electric motors are located on both the front and rear axles.
The concept combines the advantages of a high seating position with a low center of gravity, providing comfort on the road and good handling.
"The flexible platform, developed specifically for electric vehicles, allowed Infiniti's designers the freedom to re-examine traditional values of three-box sedans, enabling them to experiment with proportions and create a unique interior completely devoid of templates," states the Japanese automaker.
The front and rear doors of the concept open in opposite directions. The traditional dashboard is replaced by an interactive screen. The ambient lighting can change from bright red to turquoise, creating different atmospheres depending on the driver's mood.
"Electrification has become a true revolution for Infiniti, not only because of the engines equipped in our vehicles, but also in terms of design. Every concept car we create helps shape our vision for the future," says the Japanese brand.
