Étienne Jouvin, also known as Tk-Glitch, recognized for GitHub projects wine-tkg, wine-proton-tkg, and Tk-Glitch PKGBUILDs (the latter designed for ArchLinux-based distributions), after about ten years of support has started to express concerns about his health. Because of this, he began to oversee the 'rebasing' of patches and accepting pull requests less frequently.
Étienne states that he does not intend to abandon the repository. However, it was soon revealed that he appointed another manager for the Wine-TkG repository—Kirill Artemyev, also known as Artewar67.
So far, Kirill has encountered an unexpected challenge—the directory structure on GitLab for Wine has been broken, causing the libraries (i386 and x86_64) to be installed all together in a single shared directory, without separation by architecture. Kirill is handling this 'rebasing' well.
We hope that support for the other TkG and Wine repositories will continue to go well and will not be abandoned.
