The Rust programming language development team has recently announced the creation of the Rust Commercial Network.
The goal of the project is to create a centralized information platform for interaction between commercial organizations that rely on Rust code and the direct developers of the Rust programming language.
Corresponding working groups are being formed to discuss issues relevant to the language, propose ideas, and work with businesses to address real-world problems, including various shortcomings of both the compiler and the wider ecosystem of the language.
Naturally, during the discussions, work fronts will be identified that require additional investments.
Membership is free for commercial firms, research institutes, and other organizations wishing to use Rust in their information systems. It is not necessary to be a member of the Rust Foundation.
Industry giants such as MS, Google, Amazon WS, JetBrains, Canonical, and OpenAI have already joined RCN.
