CloudLinux has revealed its plans to invest over a million dollars a year in the development of a CentOS clone, a new distribution called Lenix.
The CEO of the company, Igor Seletskiy, stated that the company will provide all necessary infrastructure for the development of the new distribution as part of a non-profit open-source initiative.
CloudLinux earns revenue by developing its namesake specialized distribution based on RHEL/CentOS for the needs of hosting companies.
