Earlier this year, LCG Entertainment revived the Telltale Games brand. And now that the studio's first project AdHoc — The Wolf Among Us 2 — has been , we are starting to learn more about the revival of the famous developers.

In an interview with IGN, LCG Entertainment CEO Jaimie Ottilie clarified the difference between the old and new Telltale. According to him, the company has taken the brand and several previously owned studio franchises. But LCG Entertainment is a completely different business from the former Telltale Games employees, including The Wolf Among Us directors Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart, writer Pierre Shorette, and former vice president of engineering Zac Litton.
"We were upset by people who presumed, without even giving us a chance, that this was an opportunistic or simple way to profit from the game catalog," said Ottilie. "We all came together with the intention of supporting the company and continuing the legacy of storytelling that people want to play. Nevertheless, much of this was expected, and really, all we can do is keep our heads down and focus on creating great content worthy of the Telltale name."

The old Telltale Games in September of last year. This led to mass layoffs affecting around 270 people. Many employees about overtime and risky management decisions, particularly hopes for a single investor.
"We are taking a balanced and methodical approach to growth to ensure that we can provide a stable working environment. We have been embedding this into our culture from the very beginning," Ottilie assured. "All we can do is be honest; we cannot control whether critics hear us or believe us. The truth is that we are a new company — with different ownership and management, and a different approach to how we structure the studio in today’s market."
It is still unknown when The Wolf Among Us 2 will be released.
