The Document Foundation on the discontinuation of 32-bit binary builds of LibreOffice for Linux. This change will take effect starting with the 6.3 release, expected on August 7. The reason cited is the low demand for such builds, which does not justify the resources spent on their compilation, testing, maintenance, and distribution. The majority of Linux users install LibreOffice from distributions rather than downloading from the project's main website.
Support for 32-bit systems will remain in the source code, so Linux distributions can continue to provide 32-bit packages with LibreOffice, and enthusiasts will be able to compile newer versions from the source code if needed. However, there will be no official 32-bit builds for Linux anymore (32-bit builds for Windows will continue to be published unchanged).
