The lightweight Live distribution AntiX 26.1 has been introduced, built on the Debian 13 package base and aimed at installation on outdated hardware. The release comes without the system manager systemd and uses eudev instead of udev. Five initialization systems are available for use: runit (default), sysVinit, dinit, s6-rc, and s6-66. The basic user environment is formed using the IceWM window manager and the zzzFM file manager, but additionally includes fluxbox, jwm, and herbstluftwm. The full build offers the Linux kernel 6.6.139, while other builds utilize 5.10.256. The size of the ISO images is 2.5 GB (full, includes LibreOffice and 4 window managers – IceWM, fluxbox, jwm, and herbstluftwm) and 703 MB (without graphics). Builds are prepared for the x86_64 and i386 architectures.
