Linux From Scratch, instructions are provided on how to create a basic Linux-systems using the source code of the necessary software. The Beyond editorial team is developing it separately. Linux From Scratch, which supplements the LFS instructions with information on building and configuring approximately 1000 software packages, covering various application areas, from database management systems and server systems to graphical environments and media players. BLFS 13.1 is scheduled to be released in the coming days.
В Linux From Scratch 13.1, 46 packages were updated, including the kernel. Linux 7.1.8, Systemd 261.2, GCC 16.2.0, Glibc 2.44, Binutils 2.47, Coreutils 9.11, OpenSSL 4.0.1, Vim 9.2.1025, Perl 5.44.0, Util-linux 2.42.2. Added the mpdecimal 4.0.1 math library. Removed the XML-Parser and intltool packages and moved them to the BLFS edition. Fixed some errors in boot scripts, and updated explanatory materials throughout the book.
