The Bing search engine, like its many counterparts, can recognize objects in photos and search for information based on them. Now, Microsoft the image search function to the Windows desktop.
This innovation allows users to save time by not having to upload photos to the service through a browser, enabling direct work. It has been noted that the feature is available in the 'Photos' app and the operating system's search panel. It can work with both snapshots and screenshots.
In addition to searching for similar items, the system can recognize landmarks, flowers, celebrities, and animals. It also recognizes text in images and creates a file that can be copied, edited, and so on.
Furthermore, there is an API available for developers to integrate visual search into their products and applications. Although, it is claimed, the system is still under development.
Currently, the mentioned feature is only available in the USA and requires Windows 10 May 2019 Update or a later version.
