The MOBA game Prime World from Nival has 'relaunched' as open source (with a ban on commercial use)

The official server was shut down in 2021.

The license prohibits commercial use – but feel free to improve the game; the community is already working on this. How about a build for Linux? The server is currently running on Windows, and one of the main tasks right now is to port it to Linux, where you can help; additionally, the community needs a more powerful Windows server (which has not been ported yet) – you can assist with that.

It seems this is the first open-source MOBA.

Repository: https://github.com/Nival-Pub/Prime-World, several community groups should be forking publicly soon (right now the forks are private – groups are competing with each other).

Community: https://vk.com/primeworldclassic

There, if you want, you will find a chat for programmers.

If your favorite game is not being sold – it might be time to write to the creators/publisher to have it opened up – at least you can fix the launch on modern systems.
