We are working on a research project to better understand the communities within Mozilla and the projects conducted or sponsored by Mozilla.
Our goal is to better understand the communities and networks that Mozilla collaborates with. Tracking the current activities of participants (contributors) and their areas of interest over time should help us move towards this goal. This is data we historically have not collected but would like to gather, with your permission.
Mozilla has often in the past asked people to take the time to provide feedback, and may have even reached out to you recently. We have also researched projects, looking at past contributions without evaluating the results or publishing them. This project is different. It is broader than anything we have done; it will define Mozilla's strategy regarding open practices, and we will publish the results. We hope this encourages your participation.
