Mozilla is developing a service , which allows users to generate temporary email addresses for site registrations without revealing their real address. With the one-click extension, users can obtain a unique anonymous alias to which messages will be forwarded to their actual email address. To use the service, it is recommended to install , which, when an email is requested in a web form, will offer a button to generate a new email alias.
The generated email can be used to log into websites or applications, as well as for subscriptions. A separate alias can be created for each website, and if spam is received, it will be clear which source is responsible for the leak. At any time, the generated email can be deactivated, and no more messages will be received through it. Additionally, in the event of service hacking or user database leaks, attackers will not be able to link the email provided during registration with the user's actual email address.
