Astra Linux Group has released an update for the Astra Linux Common Edition 2.12.29 operating system.
Key changes include the Fly-CSP service for document signing and electronic signature verification using 'CryptoPro CSP', as well as new applications and utilities that enhance the user experience of the OS:
- Fly-admin-ltsp — organizing terminal infrastructure for working with 'thin clients' based on the LTSP server;
- Fly-admin-repo — creating custom repositories from deb packages of various developers;
- Fly-admin-sssd-client — introduction to domain remote authorization mechanisms;
- Astra OEM Installer — simplifying OEM installation of the OS: the ability to set admin credentials on first start, install necessary components, etc.;
- Fly-admin-touchpad — configuring the touchpad on laptops.
Changes also affected mobile device support: the OS has been adapted for MIG T10 tablets on x86_64 architecture, the file selection dialog has been refined for mobile sessions, and contact management has been improved.
More than 300 packages have been updated, including over 90 from the Fly graphical interface, such as Fly-wm (up to version 2.30.4) and Fly-fm (up to version 1.7.39).
Previously identified bugs have been fixed, and the latest vulnerabilities have been addressed.
