🥇Update for Linux Mint 20.1 'Ulyssa'

The first major update of the Linux Mint 20 distribution (code name "Ulyssa") has been released. Linux Mint is based on the Ubuntu package base but has several distinctions, including its default software distribution policy. Linux Mint positions itself as a ready-to-use solution for end users, so many common applications and dependencies are included in the standard delivery.

Key features of the 20.1 update:

The ability to create a web application from websites has been added. This is facilitated by the Web-app manager. In use, the web application behaves like a regular desktop application — it has its own window, its own icon, and other features typical of desktop graphical applications.
The standard delivery now includes the IPTV viewing application Hypnotix, which can also display VODs and stream movies and series. Free-IPTV (a third-party provider) is offered as the default IPTV provider.
The interface and capabilities of the Cinnamon desktop environment and standard applications have been improved, including the file manager, which now allows marking files as favorites and accessing them directly through favorites (icon on the taskbar in the tray, favorites section in the menu, and favorites section in the file manager). Support for working with favorite files has also been added to the Xed, Xreader, Xviewer, Pix, and Warpinator applications.
Overall performance improvements to Cinnamon, including 5% better rendering at 4K resolution.
Improved support for spices (add-ons for Cinnamon).
Due to issues with printer and scanner operation, the ippusbxd utility, which enabled connection to devices via the 'IPP over USB' protocol, has been removed from the standard delivery. The method for working with printers and scanners has reverted to the state it was in Linux Mint 19.3 and earlier, i.e., working directly through drivers that can be connected automatically or manually. Manual connection of devices via IPP protocol has been preserved.
