Four days after the release of OpenSSH 10.1, a corrective release OpenSSH 10.2 has been published, an open implementation of the client and server for working with SSH 2.0 and SFTP protocols. The new version contains only bug fixes:
- In the ssh utility, a problem with terminal parameter handling has been resolved, which previously prevented the use of an SSH session with the ControlPersist setting active.
- In the ssh-keygen utility, an issue with loading keys from PKCS#11 tokens has been fixed.
- In ssh-keygen, a problem with digital signature generation when storing the CA key in ssh-agent has been resolved.
- Support for platforms without mmap, such as WASM, has been added.
- Build issues on FreeBSD and MacOS <10.12 have been resolved.
- The use of PAM_RHOST has been discontinued if an external host is marked as 'UNKNOWN' (this happens for connections not through IPv4 and IPv6), which could potentially lead to hangs when using certain PAM modules.
