The release of Radix cross Linux 1.9.383 is available for devices based on ARM/ARM64, RISC-V, and x86/x86_64 architecture.
This release includes updated versions of packages such as Chromium, Firefox, LibreOffice, and nmap. The build for the TF307 v4 board (based on Baikal M1000) has been migrated to Linux kernel version 6.1.63.
The Radix cross Linux distribution is not a 'based-on' development. Everything, from the toolchain to the finished bootable images, is prepared independently from open source codes using cross-compilers. The devices on which the system operates are selected based on the availability of free drivers and bootloaders, as well as the possibility of acquiring the target hardware in Russia.
Software whose authors did not foresee the possibility of cross-compilation is not included in the system.
Primarily, the distribution is aimed at engineers using single-board computers for work or as a hobby, for instance, to set up a home network.
The images are prepared for devices such as: Repka pi3, Orange pi5, Leez-p710, TF307 v4 boards based on Baikal M1000, VisionFive2, EBOX-3350dx2, as well as for i686 and x86_64 machines.
Bootable images contain a local package repository, so system installation does not require an Internet connection.
