AV-Test has concluded its evaluation of the best antivirus programs for Windows. The ranking for December 2019 has been published on the website, highlighting the advantages of various protective applications.
According to the published data, nearly all antivirus programs provide a similar level of protection. The problematic ones are eScan ISS and Total AV, scoring 4.5 and 4 points respectively. The other solutions achieve 5 points and above on the protection scale.
Total AV also falls short in terms of performance. It lags behind all the other products. However, the top performers include AhnLab V3, Avast Free Antivirus, Avira Pro, K7 Total Security, Windows Defender, and Vipre.
It should be noted that the testing was conducted using the latest versions available at that time, under default settings. They could utilize their own cloud systems and other mechanisms for threat analysis and resolution.
