The third derived distribution from Red Hat Enterprise Linux has been released—Oracle Linux 9.3 with the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel R7, where features from the new kernels are available more quickly.
Oracle is a member of the Enterprise Linux manufacturers association OpenELA. The distribution is fully binary compatible with RHEL 9.3 and currently maintains compatibility with it moving forward. Notably, Oracle has the longest experience among RHEL-based distributions—approximately 17 years—and is also involved in the development of application products for Oracle Linux, such as VirtualBox, while also supporting RHEL.
The changes are similar to those in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.3 release.
