The AOUSD Alliance (Alliance for OpenUSD) and the ASWF organization (Academy Software Foundation) have prepared new guidelines for inclusive terminology usage. The AOUSD Alliance (Alliance for OpenUSD) promotes OpenUSD (Universal Scene Description) technology and operates under the foundation governed by the Linux Foundation. The ASWF organization was established by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts (USA) and the Linux Foundation to promote the use of open source software in the film creation process.
In addition to previously discouraged terms, the new guidelines suggest avoiding the use of the following words:
