Funding will help the contributors who support Rust development continue their work, avoid burnout (1, 2, 3), and receive the support they deserve.
Funding for the new fund is planned to be raised through targeted contributions. Participants will be selected based on community input and the decision of the governing board, depending on the project's status and existing needs. The funding distribution process will be transparent and subject to community oversight at all levels.
